Waiakea Water: Bottling Hawaiis Volcanic Springs

Hawaii, a chain of islands scattered across the Pacific, is known for their volcanic activity. The island chain formed due to the existence of a hotspot, and the volcanic activity has been going on continually for decades. The minerals ejected from the vents of the island’s volcanoes have been mixing with the spring, and it created a chemical reaction making the water alkaline, which is good for the body. The water is also infused with different minerals that are beneficial to humans. Entrepreneurs in the island knew about this fact, and they decided to collect the water from Hawaii’s springs, selling it as bottled water under the brand Waiakea.

The people behind Waiakea Water have noticed that people all over the world are not picky when it comes to bottled water. They will grab anything that has water in it, without reading the labels and checking where the water came from. However, they are keen on changing the norm, and they are marketing the bottled water as organic and filled with minerals from the volcanoes of Hawaii. Their marketing campaign is successful, and a lot of people became aware of the product that they are selling. Fans of the Waiakea bottled water are saying that they felt more energetic after drinking the water sold by the brand, and they are recommending it to people who need to be rehydrated all the time.

Waiakea Water is also a champion when it comes to environmental protection. The company developed an eco-friendly container, and they are urging their buyers to recycle. The company is also conducting a philanthropic activity in Africa, and they are donating a portion of their sales to Pump Aid, an NGO whose primary goal is to deliver clean water to homes in impoverished African states. Waiakea focuses their assistance to the people of Malawi, a poverty-ridden country known for Lake Malawi, but does not have any access to clean water.

Because of the philanthropic activities being promoted by Waiakea Water, many people are driven to buy their products because they knew that the sales are going through projects that help the African society.

CEO Promises Customers A New Papa John’s

Pizza corporation Papa John’s has had to deal with the fallout of problematic statements from a former executive. As per Bloomberg, with a new CEO in charge of the company’s future, Steve Ritchie, the company is looking for ways to reach out to customers who’ve sworn off the brand and those on the fence. Ritchie chose to address these groups in a cautiously prepared letter.

In his first major statement to the public, Ritchie, who’s been with the company for decades, admits that Papa John’s has been having a rough time recently. Insensitive statements led to charges of a culture that enables racism, something no company wants to be associated with. But stated emphatically that a company the size of Papa John’s is more than the words of any single spokesman, it’s the product of tens of thousands of employees.

To better serve and represent all those different groups of people, Ritchie announced that consultants have been hired to take a closer look at their hiring practices and diversity policy, to perform an audit that shows where they need improvement. With their faults highlighted, Ritchie aims to improve in the immediate future, so Papa John’s can better reflect the kind of company it wants to be. This will require Ritchie’s direct involvement if he is to regain public trust.

When compared to previous statements intended to calm public criticism, Ritchie’s statement seems to be more effective. In addition to taking responsibility for the company’s failure to live up to it’s own code of conduct, Ritchie set goals for the company that consumers will be able to notice.

A change in leadership will bring about change in overall business, Ritchie has claimed. This isn’t just an effort at eliminating a harmful culture at Papa John’s, it’s a promise made to those 120,000 employees.

How Steve Ritchie Papa Johns actually views these recommendations from consultants and delegates responsibilities to other executives will determine the sincerity of his commitment to changing Papa John’s public image. And Ritchie’s pledge to be directly involved means the success of this initiative will reflect on him as well. Learn more about Ritchie by checking out his Crunchbase profile.

However this pans out, the future of this pizza chain will be up to the consumer.

As one of the few from his home country of Dubai to receive a scholarship to an American college, he has made his way to the top through his business prowess, leadership skills, and knowledge of his trade. He revealed in an interview that he learned quite a bit from his father who would take him to his shop after his school studies as a child. He believes that a lot of his own success came from learning how to think in a commercial manner, because his father understood his target market and taught these lessons to a younger Hussain.

Today, Husain Sajwani is the the tenth richest Arab in the world, according to Forbes, and Damac Properties sits as the fourth largest public company in the world. One of the most interesting features of all of this is the fact that the DAMAC owner has been able to make this happen after the 2008 property crash that occurred in Dubai. He didn’t immediately get into the real estate market there but returned to build a catering business, which is still a leader in its market, today.

After this time the DAMAC owner Hussain Sajwani was able to make a comeback and has now built his business up the be the luxury property developer that works with the rich and famous as well as other well-known luxury brand names.

Tony Petrello Seizes On Shale, Takes Nabors Industries To The Next Level

Since joining Nabors Industries in 1991, Tony Petrello has proven to be the most successful executive in the company’s history. Early on, Petrello decided to refocus the company’s efforts on more high-tech areas. This culminated in the eventual development of some of the most complex and high-tech drilling equipment that the industry had ever seen. Eventually, Petrello’s big bet on technology would pay off when the Bakken Shale formation in North Dakota became one of the largest oil plays in the history of the United States.

When Tony Petrello first came on board with Nabors Industries, the company was in tatters. The once-great company had been mismanaged for more than two decades, leaving it in a state of almost total insolvency. As one of the top tax attorneys with leading law firm Baker McKenzie, Petrello was charged with working out a solution that would allow it to continue on as a going concern and become profitable again. At that time, the Nabors Industries executives were looking for somebody who could lead the company into the future. The young Petrello appeared to be someone who may be able to do the job.

The executive team eventually hired Petrello as a junior-level executive. But throughout the 90s, he was able to work his way up the ranks, eventually becoming the chief operating officer of the firm. It was during this time that Petrello decided to invest heavily in the development of new directional drilling equipment that heavily relied on both automation and algorithm optimization in order to efficiently and effectively extract the hard-oil reserves that were stuck in America’s shale formations.

This effort eventually led to the development of both the ROCKIT performance drilling software and the Modular Offshore Dynamic Series, two of the most advanced drilling technologies that have ever been produced. As the first entrant into the directional drilling space in North America, Petrello gave Nabors Industries a head start that the company has never relinquished. Today, Nabors Industries is the single largest supplier of directional drilling equipment in the world. And it has been the dominant provider of all directional drilling equipment in the extraction of North American shale resources for the better part of two decades.

All of this activity has driven the book value of the firm from $1 million all the way to $17 billion. At the same time, Nabors Industries has become the single largest lessor of directional drilling equipment and land-based oil plays anywhere in the world.
