Born from a loving and caring family in Brooklyn New York, Morrison grew up as an obedient and morally upright individual. She appreciated the need for education and ensured that she acquired as much knowledge as she could from school. Morrison graced Northwestern University where she graduated with a degree in Journalism.
Her passion for achieving more drove her to University of California Berkeley, School of law where she became the Editor in chief of California Law review and acquired her Juris Doctor in 1984. She was later accepted at State Bar of California in 1987.
Currently, Morrison is Hall Capital Partners LLC Chief Compliance Officer. This company is regarded as the largest advisory firm in the whole of San Francisco. Her leadership qualities also made her be crowned a member of the company’s Executive Committee. Hall elaborates that since the economic crash in 2008, citizens lost faith in the financial industry. Hall has come to rescue the general public from placing their finances in their own hands by enforcing integrity, accountability and regulatory compliance in all transactions.
The whole compliance field views Morrison as being an assertive, firm, sharp and hardworking lady. Morrison ensures that all investments that they make to their customers are ethically sound and solid. Hall has a special team of professionals that ensures that every financial advisor, brokerage firm and mutual fund advisors that the company chooses goes through strict investigation before being entrusted with clients cash.
Morrison was the heading (“SEC”) of San Francisco Office of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission from 1999-2007 before joining Hall Capital. Her main duties involved litigation matters, regulatory compliances and enforcement of securities in Northern California and other five Northwest States when she acted as the Regional Director.
She dealt with several fraud cases involving top executives from high-end companies like NextCarc Inc, Google, Hewlett-Packard and HBO. She also unearthed the sale of false securities by an American Amicable insurance company to more fifty thousand military personnel.
Helane Morrison is a seasonal speaker on subjects on legal matters and compliance arising from investment advisories. In Regional Parks Foundation, she is an active member of the Board and the American Bar Association.
